Sundays In My City Long Beach goes Red

    Unknown Mami

This isn't "technically" a Sunday, but it's still my City.
I will try to stick to Sunday's but when big things happen in my City,
this is the place I love to share it.

December 1st, 2010 was World Aids Day.
    Long Beach, California turned Red.
The Mayor held a Rally, flipped a switch and our city turned Red.

The structers incluced: Queen Mary, Terrace Theatre Fountains, The Light House, The Convention Center, Hyatt Hotel, Gazebo/Bird Cage, LED Wall Tree at Renaissance, Shoreline Square, Promenade, Pike Water Fountain, Shoreline Drive and Pine Avenue, Thums Islands,
    Sky Room, and Madison Restraunt.

(photographs by The Center, LB Post, Mayor Bob Foster, and my digi-camera)
We attended in Memory of My Best Friend Marcus, who died 17 years ago of AIDS.

    Great post!
Here in Finland it was far too quiet day. I heard one radio program which said that almost 80% of people take tests too late.
Is it better to be afraid of the result or to get treatment as early as possible...an important question.

    Have a good week ahead!

The red is lovely and you can't help but wonder what's going on when all those venues turned red at once! Thanks for the documentation.
