    Another One Bites The Dust

So he's started Biting and having
    Major Meltdowns again.
I have 40% of my body covered in bite marks.
So since he is into deep pressure,
    and weight calms him down..
We got a weighted Vest! He Loves it!!
It has sand in it and I ironed on a Patch on the Back.
We are gonna try it on now....
I think I have finally found a Solution!!

     Playing with Brother in the
    Mess before the Vest!!
Maybe he will sit still enough
to get lotion on those Arms!
     I think I like it!
     I'm calm... I'm okay
Maybe the Power of the Lion had
    something to do with it.

    Definitely the Lion!!!
    Okay and maybe the Sand!!

I love weighted vests...you can use them for so many purposes and really they just look like a cool fashion statement :) I got to wear one when I job shadowed in an OT office, I didn't tell her I had CP or sensory issues but I am guessing she figured it out lol

Too cool and what a great idea and tool to use to get him soothed. I have to say you are a bigger woman then I with the biting I would have already lost my mind with that.

I love the camoflauge!! Weighted Vests do work wonders. We had a weighted blanket for Dakota that I made and filled with rice. It did wonders!

A game I use with the kids I work with is "Snug as a Bug in a Rug"--I roll them up in a blanket, nice and tight and then I ask if they are ready to "clean" the "rug" and unroll them. It is great sensory play. Many things can be accomplished: sensory, "circles" for relationships, and FUN! :)

If it works, then go for it. I'm so sorry you're having troubles again.

Your son is adorable! Weighted vests are great, aren't they? My son would never wear his for more than a couple minutes, but his weighted blanket definitely helped at bedtime!
