And awareness needs to be raised to eliminate it.Evonnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18053569885496919527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1948272685380527872.post-82398173367890606952010-12-01T05:52:45.931-08:002010-12-01T05:52:45.931-08:00I just read something or saw something somewhere t...I just read something or saw something somewhere that said that AIDS isn't talked about. for some reason, even though we talk about everything else, AIDS is avoided. I certainly believe that's true, especially seeing as I had no idea December 1st was World AIDS day until I read your post. His very own family (mom and siblings) shunned him and "hid" his disease, claiming Leukemia as to hide their shame of him, his being gay and having AIDS.

He was a brother to me. We were very close. And to this day, I still miss him and think about him.

And no, he did not contract AIDS through "gay sex" (man I abhor that term!). He actually got it through a bad bag of blood with HIV in the donation.Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03869310477100385515noreply@blogger.com
